I've seen this on other kinkmemes and I think it would be really beneficial for this kinkmeme too! Basically, for a certain period of time, prompts are closed and only fills are allowed. It's meant to encourage people to fill prompts that usually would otherwise just get buried. It doesn't have to be frequent, just small fill-a-thons every once in a while would be good.

We actually did one at the end of part one already! We'll be doing another one when this part hits somewhere between 30-40 pages =)

This post is to discuss the pros and cons of me making a Twitter/Tumblr account to help advertise this kink meme as a few of you suggested on my surveys.

My concerns:

What type of stuff would/should I post on it?

Antis / hate

Tumblr's nsfw rules now?

Will people try to hate on the kink meme here?

I am open to ideas and please if you have any concerns feel free to voice them as well (but stay on topic!)

My personal opinion is to move away from tumblr because of the NSFW rules they have now, so I'd lean towards twitter! Maybe pick a random prompt once a day and post it on twitter as a 'prompt of the day' type thing and tag the pairings in the prompt for visibility?

I agree with other anon. Twitter seems like a booming platform for a lot of BNHA fans (artists and writers alike) I think making a Twitter will allow news of BNHA kink meme to spread and allow more traffic. Once popular writers/artists start to participate/retweet posts it should get a lot more attention. I think posting a random prompt a day would be good like anon said. Also if a post gets filled maybe post a preview & link to the post to attract more to the website.

Twitter does have antis but I would just make sure to tag posts properly and have a bnhakink meme tag so that they can block it if they really don't like it and other than that they can just cry in a corner about anything else they want to bitch about.

Thanks for replying! I do agree that I think twitter would be better than tumblr. You mentioned "post of the day" which actually lead me to think about tying it to the prompt of the week idea I want to try! (Posting everyday isn't really viable for me).

I would hope that antis just block and move on, and it is true that at least twitter doesn't have anon hate like tumblr. But I would hate to see arguments and fighting start on any of the tweets as well which is what I'm afraid of =( I wish there was a way to delete tweets in response to yours.

So as I'm hoping y'all who have been around here a while have noticed, this place isn't being run the same as it used to. I've been the only mod around here ever since I signed up to be one in Nov 2018 after the old mods failed time and time again to properly mod. I have not heard a word from any of them since. (In fact I've only ever spoken with one of them).

It's been slow enough (unfortunately- I want this place to thrive) that I've had no trouble keeping up and I've been doing my best to listen to you guys and try out new things to bring back the kink meme that they let die. (I mostly monitor from my personal account and just pop in to this account as needed.)

They never did anything after they passed me the keys like they said they would. The email account was cluttered and full as well. Whoever was paying for the pinboard let it expire and never renewed, and that isn't something I am willing to pay for myself considering there are free options for archiving. I was never added to their discord they supposedly had.

I felt I have given the old mods long enough at this point (a full year) and it is clear they are not returning. I actually was forced to change the dreamwidth account password a few months back and not one of them has asked me what the new password is. I even left the "your password has changed" email in the gmail account so they might see it.

I wanted to be open will y'all about all of this, especially people who have stuck around.

I didn't want to see this place die, but it seems I stepped in too late. I am open to ideas and since now it is clear the old mods aren't returning I feel it is okay to start asking if anyone else would like to help mod.

Really sorry to hear that and thank you for taking the reigns! Sounds like a frustrating situation. I'm hesitant to volunteer for modding because I don't actually know how to use Dreamwidth (I visit exclusively for kink memes TBH, I don't have a real account), but I could help with archival stuff and other busywork maybe if you want to get in touch? I sent a response in the survey including my NSFW Twitter contact.

No worries if you can't help mod, honestly its gotten so slow around here that its not much of an issue.

Maybe if you advertised the kink meme on twitter and discord more people would use it again? It was really fun when it was active.

I am working on a BNHA crossover story and I have an idea for quirk but would like to run it by others here it see if it is to over powering. But did not want to post it in the prompt comments without knowing if it is okay. I could not remember if doing so was okay nor could I find anything about doing so in the rules but I could have over looked it. Please let me know if I can do this.

Feel free to have a discussion about it here on this board! But unless you are looking for a writer to help you write your story, it doesn't belong in Part 3. That board is for prompts =)

Hello all I am working on a crossover BNHA with Harry Potter. I have an idea for the quirk line but do not want to over power it.
Okay basic back ground on the family not the quirk. Hisahi Midorya was born James Potter the son of Charlus Potter and Dorea Potter. He is the second or third cousin of James Potter, Harry's dad. The Potter family quirk is dragon breath not fire breath.
Hisahi is a squib and his quirk is not as strong as others in his family that have a quirk as not all magicals have a quirk.
James he not have one but his child did, now as to why I said dragon breath and not fire breath like info page for Hisahi says his quirk is. I was thinking to make the potter quirk like the dragon slayers from Fairy Tail.

For those that do not know about Fairy tail please go check it out it is great. but back to Dragon Slayers I will copy and paste the info about their magic.

I was think sky (like wendy marvell) and lighting(like laxus Dreyar)

I am not sure if this would be over powering.

and Izuku will have the black family quirk and a mild side effect from the potter quirk the will make him element proof. and he will still get one for all too
